| AWT2011 Final Concert |
DATE : Sunday, December 4, 2011 (2:00-5:06 pm)VENUE: Wealthy TheaterOver the past 15 years, “A Winter’s Tune” has presented a selection of Grand Rapids and Michigan regional singer-songwriters in a showcase as a benefit concert (this year again for GR Community Media Center radio station - WYCE 88.1 FM). The assignment for each artist has been to write one NEW song and performing one TRADITIONAL song for the Winter Holiday Season. This year, 4 performers will be featured in the “round robin” format - used in most past shows, while others will play an original Winter Holiday song with "The Merry Band". The show will also feature several collaborative performances plus a few traditional songs performed solo.

Plus surprise guest JOE CARTOON appeared under the Mistletoe... By the end of the show we trust you you will be ready to raise YOUR voice as well - join the band and a chorus of assembled songwriters will "sing us out" and into the evening. With dusk coming on, ticket holders enjoyed an “afterglow” event offered at Mangiamo! by Sponsor The Gilmore Collection. Guests and artists mingled around the cash bar and enjoyed a “family style” dinner option available for all interested. Instruments were brought out and more songs were sung. A fitting end to 15 years of out of the ordinary holiday celebrations. |
