The AWT website was redone (using Joomla! CMS) and went live in November 2009 - the improved look and ease of use made it worth all the trouble of conversion from a static HTML site. The mast was first rasised in about a weekend's time - thanks to plenty of pre-planning, a bit of trial and error, plus a fist full of pages from the previous one. That, and the having a deadline-hound on our tail...

The new site has also survived rapid and frequent updates demanded by the Song Contest, held in October of 2009, and the amount of information that needed to be added for previous to that year's Concert itself. .

  • Because a content managed Joomla website can be extended with additional "modules" features will be added throughout the year.
  • Look for an AWT Store where you will be able to buy MP3 downloads of selected songs from current and past shows (as you can at the moment at Octoberday.com ...).
  • Artists will be able add there own promo and pictures in the coming round..

We hope you enjoy the way the AWT looks and that it is useful to you as a visitor. Feel free to forward comments, complaints and compliments to: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
