A TRADition ReNEWed

A Winter’s Tune, the “Concert of NEW and Traditional Songs for the Winter Holiday Season” was roundly rebooted in 2019!

Previously running for 15 years, “A Winter’s Tune,” AWT for short, is a season starting event for many – a non-traditional “singing-in” of the holiday season, celebrating the mystery and wonder of winter in West Michigan. An afternoon treat, following your Sunday morning rituals, and done in time for dinner and evening activities.

In Nashville rounds style, as was from past years; each artist debuts a NEW song for the winter holiday season as well as arranging and performing a TRADITIONAL one.

With two sets of three songwriters seated together, nervous and excited, improvisation and inspiration intertwine and humor and joyful happenstance can occur.

Hosted by J Oscar Bittinger, who started the series, this revival will also feature collaborative performances, duos and trios performing selected songs from past shows.

The show closes with several songs where performers and audience can join together to exit the afternoon singing!

Thanks for helping to relight the candle of A Winter’s Tune!
